Wymington Neighbourhood Plan update

The first meeting of the working group for the Wymington Neighbourhood Plan(NP) has taken place.

The rationale behind undertaking a NP is to protect the existing characteristics of the village and have some say in where any future development may go, as well as protecting local green spaces.

The Housing Needs Survey results are still awaited and once received will form part of the decision making for the NP.

Various workstreams were discussed including green spaces and countryside, business and employment, transport and traffic, heritage and local facilities and flooding, drainage and sewage. The working group will now look to take these forward to find out information and allow the plan to start to take shape.

Communication with the parish is key and at various points throughput the process ( which is anticipated to take a couple of years) questionnaires will be sent out or open events will take place so questions can be answered face to face. The NP group would be grateful if all residents could spare the time to complete questionnaires or attend events so that your thoughts can be taken into consideration.

If you have any questions about the process please contact the Clerk on clerk@wymington-pc.gov.uk
