Residents will be receiving the Council Tax demands, and this will show a 36.7% increase on the Parish Council precept.
The Parish Council took the decision last year to undertake a Neighbourhood Development Plan. Neighbourhood Plans give communities direct power to develop a shared vision for their neighbourhood and shape the development and growth of their local area. Historically there was Government funding, however this was removed in 2025 and Neighbourhood Plans now must be funded by the Parish Council.
To do this the Parish Council has had to increase the precept for this year. On a band D property this increase is £32.07 pa or £2.66 per month, those properties A to C will be slightly less and those E to H will be slightly more.
It is currently anticipated that the Parish Council will then look to reduce the precept next year.
